the air we breathe: be more tree
I live and work on Orcas Island in the Salish Sea, in forests filled with cedar, fir and alder, surrounded by water as far as I can see. Every day, I photograph, journal, and record my environment. During my experiences in nature, the trees whisper their wisdom to my soul. My artistic practice is rooted in the stories they tell and their teachings. Through them, I have learned the extent to which we are intertwined.
Our very makeup, the air we breathe, we are all connected.
Nature not only surrounds us, she lives within us.
